Great Interactive Site for WWII

I found this site on another blog, Free Technology for Teachers. It might be a little late in the year to talk about World War II in class, but maybe you can file it away for next year--or come back here and find it again.

This site is SO cool because of the advanced graphics and the sound effects. It looks fun. But it's full of information.

Even though it's about World War II, it's not just for history, as you can see by the title. Visit The Science and Technology of World War II to see how you can incorporate it in your lessons to engage your students.

I'm going to use the site just for my own enrichment. It's fascinating.

Art and History

I found this site that is loaded with information and multimedia. If you teach art, history, literature, or art history, this site is sure it have something that will add to your instruction and be of interest to your students . . . if it's not blocked.

Check out smarthistory (http://smarthistory.org). The information is organized by Time, Style, Artists, and Themes, and contains videos as well as written information. Poke around and see what you can find; it's fun.
