I started this blog a couple of years ago to try to set a good example for the teachers and administrators in the school where I work. I also want to present ideas that will help teachers.
I chose "Brevity is the Soul of Wit" as the title because I didn't think I would have much to say. I don't talk a lot, and I have even angered people (for real) by not talking enough (and that's just in a normal social setting, not in a conflict). My nephew told me a few years ago that he thought my "chatterbox was malfunctioning." I think he was nine then.
But when I looked at my last post, I realized that I've become like Polonius (he's over on the left), who made that statement, and then proceeded to ramble. (He's a character from Hamlet, for those of you who don't know, and the more he talks, the more he shows himself to be a fool.)
I hope what I post is not foolish rambling like Polonius's words, and I know I'm not trying to impress anyone, as he was, but I guess I just have more to say than I ever thought I would.
Now if I can just get some teachers and administrators in the school to see the value and follow the example. My experience of "saying" more than I expected should be a big clue that students will probably do the same.
