One person's experience doesn't prove fact, but those of us in education know that tests do not prove that a person has learned the material on the test. Yet, we continue to bombard our students with standardized tests.
Preparing for tests takes away from authentic learning, and our students too often leave school without the tools they need to succeed.
Colleges continue to require SAT or ACT scores and determine admissions based on those test scores.
So many of us argue over and over and over that standardized tests do not prove learning.
WHEN will anyone ever listen to us?
